I just had to thank you for the unbelievable job you did on the portraits of our dogs. You didn't just draw a beagle and a basset hound -- you drew my dogs. The way you captured their look and personality truly blew me away. Every time I look at the portraits, I see Sadie and Gretel looking back at me.
I wish to give you the highest recommendation to any one who has lost a pet they loved. Even my wife, who was never too fond of my hunting dog Sadie, started to cry when she saw your work! You are the Best!

Ya gotta love a dog who can open your refrigerator door with his nose and choose his own dinner! Some of Barkley's choices through the years have included our Easter dinner ham, entire loaves of bread, spaghetti, assorted cold cuts and his favorite--watermelon! We had to use duct tape to fasten those doors!
Our 100+ pound Lab/Boxer mix filled our lives with joy and merriment...and our hearts with love. From Barkley's shy, sheepish "ya caught me" look, to his strong, protective bark if a stranger approached, this dog enhanced our lives.
Sue Donley, our extremely talented neighbor/artist totally captured that persona in her beautiful painting of Barkley. Sue actually captured Barkley's personality as well as an excellent physical likeness. When I first saw the portrait, I literally gasped. It is shockingly excellent and emotionally touching. The obvious long hours required to create such a remarkable, perfectly toned likeness make it a very reasonably priced heirloom--because that is what it actually is.
Now that Barkley is gone, I treasure his painting even more. It captures his vigor, sweet disposition, loving nature, and, most especially, his refrigerator-opening tool! I smile, and occasionally even cry, just looking at it.
